Baking Cakes

The children could make fairy cakes today at choosing time. They carefully followed the recipe to measure out their ingredients, mixed them together and spooned them into the cake cases.

Mrs Millar's Phonics

We had a busy time in phonics today, we wrote some words and had to think really hard whether they had the 'or' sound or the 'ar' sound in them. We also played the 'yes/no' game and then we had lots of fun seeing who could spot the red word first and swat it with the fly swatter!

Growing Beans

Today we had a message from Jack! He wanted us to plant our beans and to have a competition to see who's bean would grow the tallest. We had to write about how we planted the bean and what we used to help us.

Floating and Sinking

We enjoyed investigating which objects float and sink. We predicted whether the object will float or sink before testing it to find out the answer. We tried lots of objects from lolli-pop sticks, straws, coins, shells, seeds and lots more!

The Queen's Birthday

Today we painted gold and silver crowns and decorated them with jewels. We also made crowns to wear for the day.

This afternoon we got to make special biscuits and then all sat together wearing our crowns talking about the Royal family whilst eating our delicious biscuits.

Halving

We have been doing some AMAZING halving this week!

Project Launch

What an exciting day we have had. This afternoon we got dressed into our pyjamas and went into the hall to play some party games. Then we watched finding nemo along with eating our favourite snacks. We have been thinking very hard about our essential question 'What would you miss?'
