Nativity
This week we have had our Nativity performances. All of the teachers are SO incredibly proud of us for how we have developed our confidence on the stage. Our singing and dancing was amazing and we also remembered big loud voices. We loved the nativity and showing it to our grown ups.

Number Bonds
Today the children were introduced to number bonds.
We learnt all the different ways to make 10. We practised this lots using our fingers and then we used the farmer Pete song to help us. We pretended to be lost sheep to help us to remember our number bonds.

Word Bingo
Mrs Millar's phonics group had lots of fun playing word bingo. They had to listen to the words to see if they had them on their bingo card. The winner was the the first person to cover all of their words. The words included ch, ee, ay, igh, oo & ow sounds.

Blending
In phonics today we tried really hard to recap all the sounds we have learnt so far. We worked with a partner to try to segment sounds in words and then blend them together. We took it in turns to read the words.
We then played pass the sounds and we had to think of words to match the sound we had chosen.

Say no to bullying!
This week was anti-bullying awareness week. To raise awareness of this we watched the ugly duckling to shape our thoughts about how it might feel to be bullied. Following this we shared lots of ideas for how to make everyone feel included and happy in school. To make a pact of friendship and kindness we made a friendship flower using blue to represent anti-bullying.

Favourite Toy
Today we started to draw our favourite toy in a small group. We then helped each other to give feedback on our drawings. We knew we had to give some warm feedback and some kind suggestions for how our drawings could be made even better!
Have a look at some of the work we started!
We need to remember the three rules of Critique... Be Kind, Be Specific and Be Helpful.
